Thematic Analysis:

There are a number of themes that run throughout this collection. Three of the Items(5,6,7)are also collections within themselves. They are comprised of a number of similar items that give meaning and depth to the item as a whole. Two items in the collection are technological equipment (items 2 and 3). Three items belong to the natural world, each processed to a differing degree. The gold bracelet is the most refined, followed by item 6 (the tumble polished stones) and finally the collection of agates which are polished naturally by the sea and provide contrast to the stones from item 6. All of the items are significant in part because of their sentimental history. Five items where gifts or passed down through parents or grandparents.
